WHO'S RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR FAILURE: BY Onyimadu Henry

Every human has a thinking capacity, which makes it imperative that we must all use our mental ability to decide what we want by ourselves. If you fail, who'd you hold responsible? Certainly no one,but if you insist you must, then you are a no-good:a fool, because you allowed yourself to be fooled.
If you can't take responsibility for your actions, what then can you achieve and take credit for.
Do away wit excuses. They make you immobile and paralyse your future.

WHO'S RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR FAILURE

A pupil whose father was an albaru(load carrier)came home from school one fateful afternoon. The following conversation ensued between he and his father;

WHAT A FATHER HE IS

O what a father He is.
Always construing the minds of His kids.
So wondrous are His deeds.
He brings about the grasses on the green fields.
So enigmatic is His mind.
Yet incredibly just and kind.
No one has been able to construe His thoughts.
None ever able to comprehend His plots.
He is great and to be feared.
By none,He is always geared.
His thoughts are unfathomable.
His deeds,incomprehensible.
His condemnation ruins all.
His justification frees all.
From slavery and sin.
And brings all out of the light so dim.
He is all and all.
He alone is all and all.

MOTHER AFRICA

Oh mother Africa
The land of my birth
God's own nation
Though shrouded in corruption
Is a land of peace and tranquility
Only that the few powerful want to monopolize it
I remember long ago
When the earth was a formless void
And everything was natural
Love and hatred inclusive
Principle was cherished and guarded as go
Character was portrayed  in the attitude of men
A time when action spoke zillion words
Words left unspoken by action hitherto
So blissful and halcyon was it
Her thought fills me with nostalgia
Her memory a tale to tell
The moon shone smilingly
Telling us fables
While we sat with her over-head
Under the stippling of the mango tree
Our parents 'd go to bed
Leaving us  and the younger ones to relish the sweetest gift of nature
I remember carrying little Nonso on my laps
on one of the numerous occasions
While we attentively listened to tales by moonlight
I will not forget the day we fell into a peaceful slumber
While listening to the tales by moonlight
Only to wake up at dawnwww.thearenamag.blogspot.com
The creator was the sinew
The weather was the quintessential hard summer
Africa the provenance of undiluted truth

NIGHT IS COME

Night is come
Truly night is come
The flowers and plants have wilted, giving up their gaiety
A sight unfathomable by the laity
The sky swelters incredibly
Leaving the moon unglamorous and unhappy
All of a sudden, cold seep through the universe
Ushering in a wondrous and enigmatic verse
Te day howls and gaggle with fowls
The sightless night is pierced by the arrow, and slowly it bows
Night is come
Truly night is come
All is quiet and calm
All is peaceful, no qualm
Lets go to bed and for a while pause
Till the birds sing the dawn chorus
Night is come
Truly night is come
